How to use
- 01
Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image and draw a rectangle or enter its pixel coordinates.
- 02
Choose solid cover or pixelation and add the selection. Repeat for other areas, then generate a preview.
- 03
Inspect the result and download the PNG. Only areas in the list are applied; the current selection must be added first.
Details and tips
How it works
Rectangles are converted to original pixel coordinates after orientation correction, rounding edges outward. Solid covers replace the selected pixels with an opaque color. Pixelation reduces an area to coarse blocks and enlarges it without smoothing. Areas are applied in list order and exported as a new PNG without copying the original file’s metadata or editable layers.
Made for everyday images
Prepare screenshots for tutorials, cover contact details before sharing a conversation or add a mosaic effect to parts of a photo. This is manual rectangle selection; it does not automatically detect faces or private information.
Frequently asked questions
Can I hide several parts of the same image?
Yes. Add up to 20 rectangles with individual styles. Remove any area or undo the last one, then generate a new preview.
Can the recipient remove a solid cover as a layer?
The PNG contains flattened output pixels, not an editable cover layer. Your original file remains unchanged. Content outside the cover and other clues can still identify someone.
Is pixelation enough to protect private information?
Not reliably. Prefer an opaque solid cover for sensitive text. The tool cannot find missed information or guarantee anonymity; inspect the full output before sharing.
