Details and tips

How it works

Each image is decoded and re-encoded at its original oriented dimensions. Apply one quality setting to all JPG or WebP outputs, keep each original format, or convert the whole batch to one format. PNG ignores quality and stores the decoded pixels losslessly. Images run sequentially to limit memory use.

Made for everyday images

Prepare product catalog photos, blog illustrations or a folder of website assets in one batch without uploading image contents.

Frequently asked questions

Can I upload a ZIP of images?

Yes. Standard unencrypted ZIP files can contain JPG, PNG and WebP images in subfolders. Other files, hidden files and nested archives are skipped. RAR, 7z, ZIP64 and split archives are not supported. Files stay on your device.

What are the batch limits?

Up to 100 images and 250 MB of images after extraction per batch. Each ZIP is limited to 250 MB and 1,000 entries. Each input and output image must fit within 8,192 pixels per side and 16 megapixels; completed results are capped at 250 MB.

What happens if a file fails or names repeat?

Each image has its own status. Failures do not stop the remaining images. Download completed files individually or in a ZIP; output folders are flattened and duplicate names receive a numeric suffix. Cancel keeps completed results.

Does compression change dimensions?

No. Oriented image dimensions stay the same. Use Batch Image Resizer to reduce dimensions as well.

Are animations preserved?

No. Animated images become a still frame and color profiles may change during re-encoding.
