Base64 to Image Converter
Decode a JPG, PNG or WebP Base64 string into a preview and downloadable image.
Accepts JPG, PNG and WebP with standard Base64 padding. Whitespace is allowed. Maximum decoded file: 5 MiB. URLs, SVG and HTML snippets are not accepted.
This preserves the original file bytes, including any metadata. Base64 is not encryption and usually adds about one third to the size. Use the metadata remover first if needed.

Details and tips
How it works
The decoder checks standard Base64 padding, declared MIME type, file signature and decoded image dimensions before previewing. It accepts whitespace, preserves the file bytes and never fetches a remote URL.
Made for everyday images
Inspect image payloads from APIs, recover encoded assets and verify local test data.
Frequently asked questions
Why was my string rejected?
Check for missing padding, extra quotes or a MIME type that disagrees with the file bytes. The decoded data must be a supported image within the size and dimension limits.
Are my images uploaded?
No. These tools process image data on your device. Images and encoded text are not saved to your account.
Which images are supported?
JPG, PNG and WebP up to 8192 px per side and 16 million pixels. Pixel-based effects and comparison use a single still frame of animated files. Base64 conversion preserves original bytes and has a 5 MiB file limit.
